Biography

  Ramona Adkins was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, She attended HBCU Wilberforce University, receiving a BS in health care administration. While working in the health care industry, she acquired two more degrees, an associate degree in audio/video production, and a certification in filmmaking. Recently graduated from Ashford University with her MBA in project management. A single professional, she is working on her next novel. She published her first poetry book in 2002, From My Eyes to Your Heart.  And 2013 she published her first novel, 72 Hours to Nothing.  

Ramona began to write poetry as a child to express her feelings and hurts. Journaling turned into rhythmic poetry, which evolved into writing my first novel. With no writing experience, she challenged herself. She started writing music video treatments to perfect her storytelling. The practices helped her develop the skills to birth a black author while in school simultaneously for audio/video production and gain her filmmaking certification.  Her books and ebooks are available below.
